Fantasy football fans have received mixed updates from Eagles coach Doug Pederson on Zach Ertz this week, which is no doubt causing some start-ups, confusing them as they prepare to finish their Week 12 lines. tight is the weakest that has been in recent memory, so Ertz would have an immediate value just activated. Similarly, Dallas Goedert will continue to hold value until Ertz is out with an ankle injury, so knowing if Ertz playing Monday night in Football against the Seahawks is imperative for many homeowners looking to make a playoff push of fantasy.
We will continue to update this post with news on Ertz until the active / inactive ratio drops Monday around 6:45 pm ET. For all the latest fancy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.
Will Zach Ertz play Monday night?
Update: Ertz is officially OUT.
Ertz (ankle) has been out since week 6, and despite some positive reports earlier this week, Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Saturday morning that he he didn’t expect Ertz to play Monday night against the Seahawks.
WEEK 13 PPR RATINGS:
Quarterback Œ œ Run backwards Œ œ Large recipient Œ œ Tight end Œ œ D / ST Œ œ Kicker
That means Dallas Goedert and Richard Rodgers will maintain the TE position for at least another week for Philadelphia. Goedert has seen six goals in each of the last two weeks compared to seven total for Rodgers, and while each took a hit last week, it’s clear that Goedert is the one who wants to rely on fantasy leagues.
WEEK 13 STANDARD RATINGS:
Quarterback Œ œ Run backwards Œ œ Large recipient Œ œ Tight end Œ œ D / ST Œ œ Kicker
If Ertz is an active surprise, it would be worth using as a low-end TE1, but it seems very likely that it will be at least a week away.
