In a year full of curveballs, maybe Americans will want to spend the Thanksgiving holiday emphasizing what makes them happy. And if they love turkey, as well as assorted items from Dunkin ’Donuts, here’s a bizarre recipe that can definitely help them reach ecstasy.
Meet TurDunkin ’, who shouldn’t be confused with turducken – a turkey that’s stuffed with duck that is stuffed with chicken. Boston Magazine Reports that this dish, created by MIT students in 2010 on a blog called Unhealthy foods, is revived just in time for this week’s festivities.
A league apart from the Flamin ’Hot Cheetos turkey that went viral last November – mostly for the industrial-sized block of cheese stuffed into its cavity, this bird is first marinated overnight in a bath. of orange and strawberry coolattas, which gives them a fluorescent pink color. Next, the cavity is stuffed with 50 toasted Munchkin Donuts which are sautéed with onion, then mixed with dried sage and vegetable broth. Later, when the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees in the oven, a glass of sugar inspired by none other than a glass candy gets a light dip on top. Just 20 minutes later when the turkey comes out of the oven, a rainbow spray coats it up.
To top it all off, the dish is served with a coffee sauce made with the beautiful Dunkin infusion.
If it sounds like a scary combination, that’s because it is. But one of the creators of the recipe, Beth Baniszewski, told Boston Magazine that it doesn’t taste half as bad.
“Pretty good!” Sweet and sweet in the right way, “he said, adding that there is regret.” In retrospect, we should go with a traditional red-eye sauce. Campaign, learn. “
The recipe comes with an added bonus: Mash Browns, or mashed hash browns from Dunkin ’. And, yes, you can pour any sauce you finally choose on them.
The recipe blog post concludes with reviews from the original developers. Two of them said that the Coolatta could not penetrate the turkey meat, but that the bites were still wet. One of them also noted his love for sweet and savory combinations, which this dish absolutely provides.
He added another, “While the first bites were delicious, I soon fell into a hell for the throat that would be beyond the imagination of pedestrians like Dante. Having said that, I had several portions.”
