Tiger Woods was seriously injured in his injury car accident of the initial reports indicated, including being “unknown” and suffering an “open fracture”, was revealed Wednesday.
The terrible injuries of the golf legend were detailed in an incident report presented by the first responders in Los Angeles, obtained by TMZ Sports.
“Unconscious defeat, laceration to lower jaw, bruised right and left rib cage, fracture of tibia and right fibula, possible injury to right ankle,” the report reads, under the section labeled “describes injuries.”
The report gives even more detail on Woods ’leg injury, reading“ open fracture, mid shaft in his right leg, below the knee, ”according to the report.
Woods was driving at almost twice the speed limit when he lost control of his SUV, drove through the median and hit a tree at 75 mph in Rancho Palos Verdes, say officials Tuesday, after overhauling the black box of the vehicle.
The golfer broke several bones in his lower right leg when the SUV turned. Investigators said he slowed down too late.
Even though Woods was doing 87 mph in a 45 mph zone, the sheriff said Woods will not be accused of speeding, because police officers did not observe him violating the law.
“I’m very grateful to the two good Samaritans who came to help me and called 911,” Woods’ said. he tweeted Wednesday.
“I am also grateful to the LASD Deputies and the LA Fire / Paramedics.”
The 45-year-old is recovering in Florida.
