A couple of NFC teams are battling for the lead in their respective divisions in Week 12 in “Monday Night Football”.
The Seahawks (7-3) entered the contest with a tight lead over the Rams in the NFC West after losing to the LA 49ers on Sunday. Seattle started the season strong with five straight wins and looked like a Super Bowl candidate, with Russell Wilson looking like the first MVP. But since Week 7 loss to the Cardinals, Wilson has struggled to take care of the ball. He had three interceptions in that game, and while he remained without rotation the following week against San Francisco, Wilson threw four interceptions and scored five times in the last three games.
The Eagles (3-6-1) have had their problems with the turnovers, mainly due to the struggles of Carson Wentz, who is coming off his sixth multi-interception run of the season in Week 11 loss to the Browns. . Wentz has pitched a 14-game interception streak this season, three more than anyone. Yet, despite Wentz’s propensity to pitch picks, Philadelphia has a chance to get to the top of the terrible NFC East with a win over Seattle.
Factors will probably be a key point of emphasis in this encounter, as will the ability of both teams to precipitate the passer. Wentz has been sacked 40 times, more than any other QB in the league, while Wilson is second with 33. Expect to see both Wilson and Wentz move out of the pocket quickly and often, which can lead to some great plays.
