For his very early interview with Oprah Winfrey next to his wife Meghan Markle, Prince Harry picked up his favorite old dress.
The 36-year-old Duke of Sussex dressed “Ludlow” slim fit jacket by J.Crew ($ 425) and “Ludlow” trousers ($ 225), both in light gray Italian wool, for the CBS special, which will air on Sunday, March 7th.
One of the brand’s bestsellers since its launch in 2008, Harry’s dress should look familiar to fans of the royal family; he has worn it several times in recent years, including in polo matches, the Invictus Games 2018, a 2018 visit to Sussex and a 2019 trip to Morocco.
Sometimes, he chooses to break the dress and wear only the blazer; is one of at least four different “Ludlow” jackets currently hanging in her closet.
The Duke also chose his light gray “Ludlow” for two important occasions involving the Sussexes ’son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who wears it for the public debut of her child in May 2019 as per his baptism a couple months later.
Harry typically associates the look with a tie, but chose to go without his chat with Winfrey, 67 – a move appropriate for the intimate session, in which he and Markle, 39, will discuss their decision to resignation from his royal duties and moved to California in the middle of tensions with the Firm.
And while the Duchess of Sussex debuts a new Armani suit for the occasion, he associated it with some tried and true jewelry, including one diamond tennis bracelet from the collection of Princess Diana.
Markle has also squeezed in his own tailoring year to son Archie while announcing her second pregnancy in February, poses for a black and white photo in a Carolina Herrera dress she was made to measure for her spine when she was expecting the couple’s first child.
