While this season of Fortnite it was much less fleeting than previous seasons, it certainly had its fair share of filtered content. According to @iFireMonkey on Twitter, Epic is planning a major event that will “change the future of Fortnite.” We don’t know too much about what’s going on, but there’s some filtered information from where we’re going.
What does “the future of Fortnite” mean
While this type of statement seems big and exciting, it’s important to know that it’s also technically meaningless. Nothing planned by Epic could succeed in changing the future of Fortnite because they control the future of Fortnite. Unless his plan is to develop a system that involves Epic losing significant control over his game, then Fortnite’s future is and will always be a planned sequence of events controlled by a billion-dollar company.
However, while this phrase is not substantive, it is not something they should use lightly. So, we can at least infer that whatever they have planned here, they should hope that it is at least at the height of the hype they are generating.
The other noteworthy mention in this batch of Fortnite escapes is the revelation that Troy Baker had been brought in for a new recording session. Baker is currently one of the best known names in the voice acting, and his talent is generally reserved for key roles that are expected to stand out. In Fortnite, Baker has already told John Jones about the event The Device, which suggests the return of the characters.
When will this event take place?
We don’t know much about exactly when Epic intends to start something Fortnite event they had planned. However, the losses mention that there will be some kind of announcement at The Game Awards on December 10th. This means that whatever event is treated, it will start some time after this date.
Currently, we believe that Fortnite’s current season will end at the end of November, placing this event at the beginning of Season 5 if all goes as planned. So, it’s likely that everything Epic alludes to, will have nothing to do with Marvel’s current crossover, or will just be loosely linked.
Be sure to check it out on December 10 to understand exactly what could be so big about changing the future of Fortnite.
