Freelance market Fiverr has launched a new service now designed to help teams from larger companies manage their work with freelancers.
CEO Micha Kaufman told me by email that Fiverr had already started working with larger clients, but that Fiverr Business it is best designed to meet their needs.
“Organizations need tools to manage their team accounts, define projects, allocate budgets, track progress, and collaborate internally,” Kaufman wrote. “Fiverr Business provides all of this and much more, including exclusive access to Fiverr’s personal executive assistants who are always available for Fiverr Business clients to help with account administration skills, overall project management, the talent convention, and even more so. ”
He also suggested that with the pandemic that forced companies to adopt remote work and put pressure on their bottom lines, many of them are increasingly turning to freelancers, and he said: “2020 marks the ‘beginning of a decade where companies will invest and learn to truly integrate freelancers into their workflows’.
Fiverr Group Product Manager Meidad Hinkis guided me through the new service, showing me how users can create projects, assign team members and establish freelance budgets, then actually hire freelancers, as well as offer feedback internal and external on the work to come.
He also noted that there is a special group of curated freelancers available through Fiverr Business, and like Kaufman, emphasized that clients will also have access to assistants to help them find freelancers and manage projects. (On the freelance side, the payouts and the rest of the experience should be pretty similar.)
In addition to the freelance fees, Fiverr Business will cost $ 149 a year for teams of up to 50 users, and Hinkis said the company offers the first year for free.
“We believe so much in the product and in the direction we want people to get real value before they decide,” he said.
