The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advises against tight, internal meetings with members who are not home before St. Patrick’s Day, in an effort to prevent a new spread of coronavirus.
“Attending meetings to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day increases the risk of getting and spreading COVID-19,” the health agency said. he says. “The safest way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year is to meet virtually, with people living with you, in or out and at least 6 feet away from each other.”
Americans should delay travel and consider staying home to reduce the risk of infection, the CDC advises.
Public health experts continue to encourage the use of masks, physical therapy, hand hygiene and early vaccination when doses become available. Officers have doubled these calls as more transmissible variants continue to emerge and circulate.
